2.8 Servicing and Cleaning

2.8.1 Cleaning of combustion chamber

Starting maintenance work on mobile heating
unit
• Turn off electrical supply
• Set selector switch to „0"
• After the heater has cooled down, the main
switch must be turned off.
• Loosen clamping-ring on burner bracket.
Remove burner.
• Clean combustion chamber with brush and
vacuum cleaner through the opening.
2.8.2 Cleaning of heat exchanger ele-
ments
• Turn off electrical supply
• Set selector switch to „0"
• After the heater has cooled down, the main
power switch must be turned off.
• Upon of the relevant casing walls, the
cover of the heat exchanger, and the heat
exchanger seal, the individual pockets of
the heat exchanger have to be cleaned
using a brush and a vacuum cleaner

2.8.3 Burner after sales Service

Unscrew the 4 screws at up and down side, the 2
screws left and right at the blank cover, the push
the blank cover upside and remove it by pulling it
outside.

2.8.4 Servicing

According to § 9 of the reglementations for
heating plants it is demanded to let the plant
including the oil burner be serviced regularely in
order to assure a reliable and secure operation of
the device.
A service of the heater is neccessary once a year
We recommended to seal a service-contract with
an authorised entreprise
Burner- After- Sales Service
The burner should be checked and adjusted at
least annually.
On this occasion, the oil filter insert and the bur-
ner jet have to be replaced.
This work must only be made by the After Sales
Service or an authorized specialist firm.
After a failed start attempt, a control and if neces-
sary, a cleaning of the combustion chamber of
unburned heating oil must take place before the
reset button is pressed again.
Kroll recommends taking out a service contract.
The mobile heating unit must not be modified
or tampered with under any circumstances, and
repair work must be carried out by a specialist.
Main filter
Should be exchanged after 200 to 300 operating
hours.Replace the filter insert as soon as water
or dirt is detected in the filterglass
Fuel oil
Solenoid or water-contaminated fuel oil must be
renewed.
