Connection of the drive, yard light, photo cell, external key-op-
erated switch and safety contact edge
Connect.the.individual.pieces.of.equipment.in.accordance.with.the.wiring.diagram.
Caution
Electrical work should only be carried out by qualified electricians or instruct-
ed persons. Always disconnect the mains plug before connecting any equip-
ment.
Note
Firstly, pull the bushes over the connection cable and push the bushes into the
lower part of the housing after connecting all the wires.
Use.the.3.DIP.switches.to.configure.the.BECK-O-TRONIC.5.Basic.according.to.your.
wishes:
DIP 1.. Switches.the.terminating.resistor.of.the.safety.contact.edge.from.1K2.to.8K2
DIP 2.
Switches.from.safety.contact.edge.(SKS).to.optical.edge.(OSE)
DIP 3. Switches.the.running.time.from.30.seconds.to.60.seconds
Safety edge mechanism
Electrical.edges.with.the.terminating.resistors.1K2.or.8K2.can.be.connected.to.the.SKS.
terminals,.or.Fraba.optical.edges.can.be.connected.to.the.OSE.terminals.
If.the.safety.edge.is.activated.during.downward.travel,.the.roller.door.is.stopped.im-
mediately.and.then.raised.slightly.
Caution
To operate a roller door in self-locking mode, the system has to be equipped
with a safety edge mechanism. Please ensure that the contact edges are suf-
ficiently secured and the permissible safety edge forces are not exceeded!
