with the oil filter (fig. 9 – oil drain plug > use a counter wrench for the fixing part). Replace the
engine oil filter (fig. 5, A). The first precaution is to ensure that the engine is correctly serviced with the
air filter, cooling fins and cylinder head clean and the oil at the correct level. Check the air filter every
4 hours, or even more often in very dusty environments. Check the engine cooling intake grid (fig. 4,
A).
HYDROSTATIC AXLE
Check the oil level in the tank when the engine is cold: it must be under the bottom edge of the steel
strap of the tank (fig. 10). Regularly clean the hydrostatic transmission cooling fans, every 4 working
hours in summer when conditions are very dusty (fig. 6). Replace oil after the first 50 working hours,
then every 200 hours. Use 20W50 engine oil, quantity: 2.5 litres. To replace the oil, follow the
instructions below:
1)
remove the two plugs (fig. 6, A-B)
2)
remove the oil filter plug (fig. 12) and check the filter
3)
unscrew tank cap (fig. 10, B)
4)
unscrew the cap marked "Gear Chamber" (fig. 11)
5)
add oil in position (fig. 10, B). Replace the cap marked "Gear Chamber" when oil comes out.
6)
make sure the oil level in the hydraulic axle reaches the bottom edge of the steel strap of the
tank (fig. 10, A).
FRONT WHEEL AXLE
Grease the wheel pivot pins every 20 hours. Lubricate the steering joints.

AIR FILTER

Check the air filter every 4 hours, or more frequently if working in a very dusty environment (fig. 7).
CHECKING THE BLADES AND CUTTING DECK
A blunt blade tears the grass, leaving it unattractive. The cutting edges of both blades must be
sharpened. To remove a blade, take hold of it firmly, wearing work gloves, and unscrew the central
bolt clockwise (fig. 8, n. 3). Sharpen both cutting edges using a medium-grain grinding wheel and
check that the blade is balanced by standing it on a round bar inserted in the central hole. When
replacing the blades always replace also the screw and its belleville washer (fig. 8, n. 3). Once the
blade has been replaced, make sure the screw has been firmly tightened. Fastening torque 60 Nm.
IMPORTANT: Replace damaged or badly worn blades, never repair them.
110 cm MOWER DECK ADJUSTMENT
This 110 cm mower deck has a dual-function: mulching and rear discharge. The operator chooses the
function via a lever (fig. 25). Levelness of the cutter deck is essential in order to obtain an evenly
mown lawn. Park the mower on a flat surface and check that the tyre pressure is correct. Loosen the
screws of the rear arms (fig. 26) and completely unscrew the screw the nut and jam nut. Check the
height of the cutter deck front and rear both in the lowest and the highest cutting position. If the
mower deck is higher in the rear part than in the front shorten the front arms (fig. 27), while if the
mower deck is higher in the front part the front arms have to be lengthened. When the mower deck is
set at the lowest cutting position, adjust the screw with nut and jam nut so that both the front and rear
part of the mower deck are set at the same height (fig. 26 – fig. 27).
To set the blade at 2,5 cm from the ground, the top edge of the mower deck housing must be at 125
mm from the ground. To carry out this adjustment use the rod of the mower deck arms. Once the
blade belt has been replaced use the adjusting nut to put it in tension again (fig. 17). Loosen or screw
the nut so that the centering bush of the spring touches the nut in the point indicated by the red arrow.
BLADE – ENGINE BELT
Carry out all the checks and adjustments (fig. 16) after having set the mower deck at the lowest
cutting position. Check the belt tensioner spring (fig. 18). Lubricate the bushes of the cutting deck-
engine belt tensioner (fig. 13).
HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION – ENGINE BELTS
These belts are self-adjusting and do not require any adjustment. Simply check the spring tension.
To replace the belts, release the tension spring (fig. 19).
