23) Never modify or disassemble the safety devices.
24) Do not change the engine governor settings or over rev the engine.
25) Do not rest heavy loads on the seat, the starter safety device could become disengaged.
26) Before servicing or cleaning the mower or any attachment, switch off the engine.
27) Never allow anyone to check the machine whilst you are seated at the controls with the engine
running.
IMPROPER USE TO BE AVOIDED
28) Do not carry passengers.
29) Never allow untrained people or under-age children to operate the machine: its use is prohibited
to minors under 16 years old.
30) Do not operate the mower near drop-offs, ditches or embankments. The machine could suddenly
roll over if the tyres lose traction. Use care when mowing on wet grass and on slopes, tyres could
lose traction and the machine could consequently roll over.
31) Replace faulty silencers.
FURTHER SAFETY RULES
The above mentioned warnings could not possibly be enough to avoid all risks, if the operator does
not use the mower as instructed. Therefore, we kindly ask you to follow these additional safety rules
outlined below:
32) Rotating blades are highly dangerous, keep hands and feet away from the mower deck.
33) Use care when reversing.
34) Do not stop or start suddenly when going up or downhill.
35) Add fuel before starting the engine. Never remove the cap of the fuel tank or add fuel whilst the
engine is running or when the engine is hot. Replace all fuel tank and container caps securely.
36) If the fuel tank has to be drained, this should be done outdoors.
37) Do not operate the lawnmower on gravel which could be sucked up and drawn into the blade,
becoming therefore becoming very dangerous.
38) If you have children, hide the ignition key after using the mower.
39) CAUTION: to avoid the risk of fire, keep the engine compartment, exhaust, discharge outlets,
battery, tank area and fuel pipes free from grass, leaves, dirt etc.
40) Never store the equipment with fuel in the tank inside a building where fumes could reach an
open flame or spark.
Remove the attachment, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plugs:
a) before cleaning obstructed points.
b) before checking or repairing the lawnmower.
c) when the machine hits a foreign body (check the mower deck to see if it is damaged and
make repairs before you operate).
d) if abnormal vibration occurs, stop and inspect the machine. Contact your nearest
authorised service centre if you need help.
