2. General Safety Instructions
WARNING – Reading the operating
instructions will reduce the risk of injury.
WARNING Read all safety warnings and
instructions. Failure to follow all safety
warnings and instructions may result in electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Keep all safety instructions and information for
future reference.
Only recharge with the charger specified by the
manufacturer. Chargers designed for a specific type of
battery may pose a fire hazard when used together with
other battery types.
Only use the batteries provided for this purpose. Use
of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury or fire.
When battery is not in use, keep it away from other
metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other small metal objects, that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery. Avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addi-
tionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
Do not operate the device in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases
or dust. The lamp can generate sparks which may ignite
dust or vapours.
Avoid accidental operation. Make sure that the device
is switched off before connecting the battery and
before picking up it or wearing it. Accidentally pressing
the switch on the device or connecting the device to the
power supply when already switched on can lead to acci-
dents.
Always switch off the device when not in use.
Never use electrical devices with a defective switch.
Electrical devices that can no longer be switched on or off
are dangerous and must be repaired immediately.
Remove the battery before adjusting, cleaning and
storing the device or changing accessories. These
precautions prevent unintentional operation.
When not in use, keep the device out of the reach of
children. Do not allow persons unfamiliar with the
device or these instructions to operate the device.
Electrical devices are dangerous when used by inexperi-
enced personnel.
Maintain the device carefully. Check that the moving
parts are functioning properly and do not jam, that
