3.3 Maintenance
The burner requires periodical maintenance that must be performed by accredited personnel at least
once a year.
The basic operations to perform are:
• checking and cleaning the internal parts of the burner and boiler unit as indicated in the following
paragraphs;
• thorough combustion analysis (after operating at normal rate for at least 10 minutes) and checking
that the settings are correct.
Removing the burner head
Before doing any cleaning or checking inside the burner, cut off the electricity supply to the
burner with the system's main switch. Shut off the fuel supply too.
To remove the burner head, see the sequence described in paragraph 2.3 (fuel supply) electrode
positioning.
Checks on parts and components
Gas supply
The pressure must be stable on the setting made during installation. It must not be noisy.
Filters
Fan
Check that no dust has accumulated inside the fan and on the rotor blades: it decreases the air flow.
Combustion head
Check that all the parts of the combustion head are integral, not buckled by the high temperature, have
no debris from the surroundings and are correctly positioned.
