8. Programming (Basics)
a) General Information on Operation
• The button "MENU" (4) calls the room menu of the universal
thermostat, leaves a function (back one menu level) or returns
to the normal display.
• Button "OK" (5) is used for confi rmation.
• The buttons "–" (3) and "+" (2) permits selection of a function or
setting according to menu level.
• The bottom-most display line shows the corresponding text
messages, e.g. the function in which the room thermostat cur-
rently is. This strongly simplifi es programming.
• If you do not push any button for 15 seconds, the setting menu
is left automatically without saving the last change made.
b) Calling up or Leaving the Main Menu
Briefl y push the "MENU" button (4). The bottom-most display line
shows "USER SETTINGS".
Use the "–" (3) and "+" (2) buttons to switch between "USER SET-
TINGS" and "INSTALL SETTINGS". Confi rm the selection with "OK"
(5).
As already described in chapter 8. a), you may leave a function
with the button "MENU" (4) (one menu level back) or completely
leave the setting menu (the time and the currently measured
temperature appears again).

cise description in the next subchapters):
