5 Operation

5.1 Checking Pallet Truck Scale

5.1.1 Function Check

The function check should be performed under the condition that the scale is calibrated. Refer to the manual
provided with the connected weighing terminal for information about calibration.
1 Before starting a weighing series, perform a function
check of the scale and the connected weighing
terminal.
2 Make sure that the scale is connected to a weighing
terminal and that the weighing terminal is switched on.
3 Make sure that the scale is unloaded and the display of
the weighing terminal shows 0.
4 Load the scale. The display must show a value
different from 0.
5 Unload the scale. The display must return to 0.
Otherwise, zero the scale.

5.1.2 Verification Test

For a verification test refer to the manual of the connected weighing terminal. If the verification seal is broken,
verification is no longer valid.

5.1.3 Check Battery Level

Check the battery before operation. Recharge the battery according to [Battery Charging   Page 12] when the
battery level is low.
Please refer to the weighing terminal manual for further explanation on battery level indication.

5.2 Operating Pallet Truck Scale

5.2.1 General Guidance to Safe Operation

Do not operate the unit unless the operator is familiar with it and has been trained or authorized to do so.
Do not operate the unit until the operator is convinced that it is in good condition. Pay special attention to
the condition of the wheels, the handle assembly, the forks and the lower control.
Do not use the unit on sloping ground.
Never place any part of human body in the lifting mechanism or under the forks or load.
Do not carry passengers.
The operator is recommended to wear gloves and safety shoes at all times.
Do not handle unstable or loosely stacked loads.
Do not overload the unit.
Make sure that length of the forks matches the length of the pallet.

5.2.2 Weighing Operation

WARNING Make sure the pallet truck scale is on a level (concrete) surface when weighing or transporting
loads. The maximum slope of the floor should be less than 2%.
1 Turn on the weighing terminal.
2 Wait for 3-5 minutes until the weighing terminal fully warms up.
3 Do not to lift loads before the terminal shows "0".
4 Lower the forks, and then push the lowered forks into the pallet.
