3.4 CONTROLS
The descriptions of the controls are gathered by
how they are placed in the machine.

3.4.1 Controls - seat
The seat is equipped with a safety switch that is
connected to the machine's safety system. This
means that certain dangerous activities are not pos-
sible when there is nobody sitting on the seat. See
also 5.7.2.
3.4.1.1 Adjusting seat backwards/forwards
(1:A1)
1. Move the control lever (1:AJ) upwards.
2. Set the seat to the desired position.
3. Release the control lever to lock the seat.
3.4.1.2 Adjusting seat suspension (1:A2)
The suspension of the seat can be adjusted accord-
ing to body weight using the knob.
Harder suspension: Turn the knob clockwise.
Softer suspension: Turn the knob anticlockwise.
The suspension setting can be read off from the in-
dicator (1:I2) by the knob. At correct setting the in-
dicator shows green.
3.4.1.3 Adjusting the backrest angle (1:A3)
The backrest can be adjusted to the desired angle
using the knob.
3.4.1.4 Adjusting the armrest (1:A4)
The armrest can be adjusted to the desired angle
using the knob under the relevant armrest.
3.4.1.5 Fan (1:A5)
The control is used to regulate the fan speed.
Air is blown in through the ventilation ducts (1:O).
3.4.1.6 A/C (1:A6) (740DCR)
Switch for activating the A/C

For defrosting and getting rid of mist on windows:
Activate the A/C, turn the fan on maximum speed,
the thermostat on maximum heat and direct the
ventlation ducts towards the windows.
3.4.1.7 Thermostat (1:A7)
The control is used to set the temperature of the air
blown in by the fan. Cooling only available in ma-
chines equipped with A/C.
3.4.1.8 Storage compartment (1:H)
A storage compartment is located to the left of the
seat.
3.4.2 Controls - roof
3.4.2.1 Sun roof (1:B1)
Pull the handle and push upwards to open the roof.
3.4.2.2 Interior lighting (1:B2)
The interior lighting is in the roof.
The interior lighting is switched on and off by turn-
ing the actual lamp to the left and to the right.
3.4.2.3 Windscreen washer (1:B3)
Switch for activating the windscreen
washer.
Washer fluid is topped up in the reservoir
(1:G2).
3.4.2.4 Warning beacon (1:B4) (740DCR)
Follow applicable laws regarding use of
the warning beacon.
Switch for engaging and disengaging the
warning beacon. (1:J)
3.4.2.5 Work lighting (1:B5)
Follow applicable laws regarding use of
the work lighting.
Switch for engaging and disengaging the
work lighting (1:K).
3.4.2.6 Windscreen wiper (1:B6)
Switch for engaging and disengaging the
windscreen wiper.

3.4.3.1 Steering wheel (1:C1)
Do not adjust the steering wheel during
operation.
The steering wheel can be raised and lowered and
set at different angles smoothly. See 3.4.3.5 and
3.4.3.2.
