IMPORTANT
Each pump element m ust be secured wit h
a pressure relief valve.
The pressure relief valve is not contained
6001 a02
in the scope of supply of the pump.
The pressure relief valve
- limits the pressure build-up in the system.
- opens, if the spe cific overpressure is reached.
- is to be selected according to the requirements to t he
lubricat ion plant (see different opening pressures; 200,
270, 350 ba r).
If lubricant is le aki ng at the pressure rel ief va lve, this indi-
cates that the system is ma lfunctioning.
Despit e existing fault monitoring devices a regular visual
and function control must be ca rried out on t he lubrication
system.
... with grease return (optional)
If the system i s blocked, grease will leak from the pressure
relief valve. This grease quantity is returned to the re servoir
v ia the return line connection (fig. 6-1).
In the case of a blockage in the system, the grease pushe s
out the red pin (arrow, fig. 5-2) at the pressure re lief valve,
thus indicating that there is a fault.
Afterwards the fault has been removed the pin has to be
pressed back to its starting position.
