VISUALIZATION TIMING OF THE VOTES
This function is useful for obtaining an immediate
visualization of the vote of a remote control, without
having to wait for all of the judges' votes. With the
'Features' key of the 0 remote control the immediate
visualization of the vote can be authorized as soon
as it is received, or else, after receiving the last vote:
turn on KPB by the 'ON-OFF' button;
keep pressed the 'ACQ' button;
press the 'Features' key of the 0 remote control
and then the numerical key '5': the acquisition of
the command is highlighted by the appearance of
the start-up indications for 2.5 seconds; if the
immediate visualization of the vote is chosen, the
display associated with the 5
numbers "88", otherwise the following "--"
symbol appears;
release the 'ACQ' button.

ISUALIZATION
By the 'Features' key of the remote control 0 is
possible to manage the visualization of the votes
1-5 or 6-10 for the possible Slave scoreboard
linked up to the serial exit:
turn on KPB by the 'ON-OFF' button;
keep pressed the 'ACQ' button;
Press the 'Features' key of the remote control 0
and then the numerical '6' key: the acquisition of
the signal is highlighted by the appearance of the
starting writings for 2.5 seconds;
release the 'ACQ' button.

After setting up the remote controls and the
scoreboards it is possible to start the voting,
comprised of various phases:
authorizing the vote,
sending of the judges' votes,
visualization of the result,
resetting the display.
4.1 H
ABILITATION TO THE VOTE
The scoreboard operator, pressing the 'START-RX'
key of the remote control 0, can set KPB to receive
the votes from the authorized remote controls; the
result is not displayed on the panel, and a
horizontal line "-" will be seen on the relative
displays of the authorized judges.

After voting has been authorized, the judges will
be able to send their score with the 'SEND

of the vote is indicated by the appearance of the
letter "A" on the relative display.

After receiving the last vote KPB visualizes the
votes of all the judges and performs the calculation
and visualization of the result, in accordance with
the selected mode. When the result has more than
three digits, the integer is shown for 2 seconds
followed by the decimal point and a horizontal line,
then the decimal point followed by the decimal
digits are shown for 2 more seconds, and finally the
display disappears for 1 second before taking down
the complete sequence [ for instance 3.596 is
presented as "3.-" followed by ".596"].

RESETTING THE VOTE
Pressing the 'RESET' key of the 0 remote control,
all of the scores and relative results are cancelled;
this is useful at the beginning of a new competition.

Since the transmission of the remote control
requires 30-40 ms, if two or more judges send the
vote during this interval, the KPB does not receive
the scores and the "A" letter does not appear on
the scoreboard display; in this case the judges
need to send their vote once more.

Since the KPB only receives data from the acquired
remote controls which are identified by a single
code, it is possible to use several scoreboards in
the same area without the risk of incorrect votes or
interferences between scoreboards: the sending
of a vote by one judge from two different
remote controls is not possible.

LAVE MODE OPERATIONS
Every KPB can work in Slave mode, which
allows:
to show the votes of judges 6-10, or
to show the result and the votes of judges 1-5.
The second case is useful to allow the
visualization of the votes in different positions and
perspectives regarding the central scoreboard:
this allows the use of several scoreboards in final
competitions, previously dedicated to single
exhibitions. The Slave mode is automatically
identified by the scoreboards when it receives
valid data through the serial port, placed on the
left side of the case.

Each KPB normally works as the Master, and it
sends data from the serial port in this mode
