EXTERIOR UNIT - CONDENSATION DRAINING
Condensation is produced when exterior units with heat pumps operate in
the heating mode. In this case, it may be necessary to convey the con-
densation towards a drain.
Proceed in the following way to do this:
1. Fix the supplied union (1-Fig.1) into the relative hole (2-Fig.1) on the
base of the exterior unit. Fixing must be achieved by inserting the shaped
part of the union into the hole and turhing it through 90° towards the right
or left as required.
2. Connect a sufficiently strong rubber pipe (2-Fig.2) (one that is unable
to deform and cause throttling) to the union (1-Fig.2).
3. Fix it with a pipe clamp (3-Fig.2) and route it to a drain.
4. Make sure that the pipe slopes sufficiently to allow the condensation to
flow out naturally.
5. Make sure that the draining action is correct by pouring water into the
tray of the exterior unit (only a little).
INSTALLATION LAYOUTS
Exterior unit low and interior unit high.
The maximum difference in height between the interior unit
and exterior unit must not exceed the value given in the
table. The connection pipes must be insulated.
