THE COMPRESSOR RUNS BUT DOESN'T LOAD
Breakage of valves ora seal; Repair by replacing damaged part. If you do not. consider yourself capable of repairing the
breakdown, we recommend that. the above interventions be carried out by specialized technicians in order to avoid
inconveniences.
COMPRESSOR NOT STARTING
If the compressor has trouble starting, make sure that :
-
the mains voltage matches the value on the rating plate (fig. 2)
-
electrical extension leads of inadequate diameter or length are not used.
-
the workplace is not too cold (below 0°C)
-
the thermal relay has not been tripped. (fig. 6 for SSA mod.) or (fig.4 for SCS mod.). See THERMAL PROTECTION sect.
-
there is oil in the housing to ensure lubrication (fig. 8)
-
the electrical line is powered (plug well connected, thermal relay, fuses in good condition)
COMPRESSOR NOT STOPPING
-If the compressor does not stop when maximum pressure is reached, the tank safety valve comes into operation. This means that
the pressure switch does not operate. Contact your nearest authorised service centre to arrange repair.
THE COMPRESSOR STOPS AND THE OIL LEVEL RED INDICATOR LIGHT LIGHTS UP ON THE CONTROL PANEL (FOR
VERSIONS SSA901-951 ONLY)
-Oil level inside the housing has fallen below minimum level and, therefore, the float-sensor has stopped the compressor - top up to
correct level.
EMERGENCY BUTTON
For SSA mod.:The emergency button located on the controt board (fig. 4) allows you to stop the compressor at any moment. TO
reset the emergency, you must rotate the red knob a half-turn.
For SCS mod.:the emergency button corresponding to OFF button (fig.4).
WARNING
At the end of the wòrk day, always disconnect power.
-
During repairs io the sound-deadening cabin, be careful of the head/cylinder/feed pipe unit which may reach high temperatures.
-
Do not touch it to avoid burns.
Do not direct sprays of water or flammable liquids on the compressor.
-
-
Do not, on any account, unscrew any connection to the tank while the latter is pressurised. Always make sure that the tank is
discharged.
-
Do not drill holes in the compressed air tank, make welds on it or willingly deform it.
Do not carry out any operations on the compressor unless you have first pulled out the plug from the power socket.
-
-
Recommended ambient temperature for operation: 0°C + 25°C..
-
Do not place inflammable objects near the compressor
-
Never point the jet of compressed air at people or animals.
-
Do not transport the compressors while the tank is pressurised.
-
Attention: some parts of the compressor, such as the head and the delivery pipes, can reach high temperatures. Do not touch
these components to avoid burns.
Keep children and animals well away from the machine's operating area.
-
-
If the power cable or plug are damaged, do not use the compressor and contact an authorised service centre to have it replaced
with an original spare part.
-
Do not put your hands or objects inside the protective grilles to avoid physical damage to yourself and the compressor.

The sound level can increase from 1 to 10 dB(A) according to the place where the compressor is installed.
REFRIGERATOR CYCLE AIR DRIER
Model SSA compressors tiay be equipped with a refrigerator cycle air drier. All drier models are 230V/50/1 powered with a circuit
independent' of the compressor's and range from a minimum capacity of 350 It/min to a maximum of 850 It/min. Maximum working
pressure 16 bar. Maximum dew point 3° C (CAGI-PNEUROP). Direct expansion without glicol. Separator and automatic water trap.
OPERATION
The dryer described in this manual basically consists of two separated circuits: a compressed air circuit, divided into two heat
exchangers, and a refrigeration circuit. The warm and humid entering air goes through an air-to-air exchanger before entering the
evaporator (air-to-refrigerant exchanger) where, due to the contact with the refrigeration circuit, it cools down to allow the
