USE
Before using the slow juicer for the first time, refer to the "Cleaning and maintenance" section
to clean all parts. Then complete the following steps to prepare the slow juicer each time you
use it:
1
Make sure that the slow juicer is correctly assembled. Make sure that the sieve and the auger
are properly cleaned before each use.
2
Make sure the fruit is at room temperature. Prepare all the fruit ahead of time by cutting the fruit
in half. This will make the juicing process quicker.
3
Place the juice jug (15, Fig. 1) under the juice outlet and the waste jug (16, Fig. 1) under the
waste discharge.
4
Turn on the motor by pushing the ON-OFF button.
5
Use the food pusher provided, to gradually push down the fruit and/or vegetables towards the
rotating auger at the bottom of the feed chute (see Fig. 3). To obtain more juice always press
the food pusher lightly. Do not insert fruit and/or vegetables when the motor is off.
NEVER USE YOUR FINGERS TO PUSH THE FRUIT AND/OR VEGETABLES DOWN THE
FEED CHUTE OR TO CLEAN THE CHUTE. ALWAYS USE THE FOOD PUSHER
PROVIDED.
6
The juice will pour from the juice outlet into the jug placed under the outlet. The separated pulp
will accumulate in the jug placed under the waste discharge.
7
Continue to use the appliance until the jug is filled with juice or until you have finished the fruit
or vegetables you are using. Also check the level of the pulp in the waste jug.
8
Turn the motor off by pushing the ON-OFF button.
During operation of the appliance, the splash cover (5, Fig. 1) must be in open position ("three
drops" symbol). After having stopped the motor, to avoid dripping, close the splash cover by
turning it clockwise through 90° ("drop stop" symbol).
IMPORTANT:
The amount of juice and percentage of pulp and juice in the slow juicer depend on
variables like temperature, freshness and type of fruit. These variables may result
in different outputs which do not depend on the technical features of the slow
juicer.
