5. Warnings and safety notes

WARNING
• Keep this sleep aid and associated packaging material away from children. Chok-
ing hazard!
• This device may be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or
have been instructed in how to use the device safely, and understand the resulting
risks.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Children must not perform cleaning and user maintenance without supervision.
• Protect the device from knocks, damp, dust, chemicals, significant fluctuations in
temperature, direct sunlight, splashes, and sand, and ensure that sources of heat
are at a sufficient distance (ovens, heaters).
• Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.
General notes on handling batteries
WARNING
• If your skin or eyes come into contact with battery fluid, wash out the affected area
with water and seek medical assistance.
• If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compart-
ment with a dry cloth.
• Protect batteries from excessive heat.
• Risk of explosion! Do not throw batteries into a fire.
• Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke on batteries. Therefore,
store batteries out of reach of small children.
• Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) polarity signs.
