electrical outlet. NOTE: Do not charge by means of an
engine generator or DC power source. Use only 120

charge initially for 4 hours. After the initial charge, under
normal usage, your battery should be fully charged in 3
to 4 hours.
3. Unplug charger, and remove the battery. Place the

IMPORTANT CHARGING NOTES
1. After normal usage, your battery should be fully charged
in 3 to 4 hours. If this is not the case and battery charge
time exceeds this, then the battery may be worn and may
need to be replaced.
2. DO NOT charge the battery in an air temperature below
4°C or above 40°C. This is important and will prevent
serious damage to the battery. Longest life and best
performance can be obtained if battery is charged when
air temperature is about 24°C.
3. If the battery does not charge properly—(1) Check for
power at the socket by plugging in a lamp or other unit.
(2) Check to see if socket is switch controlled and if it is,
that the switch is "On". (3) Move charger and battery to an
area where the surrounding air temperature of is between
4°C and 40°C. (4) If the receptacle and temperature are
OK, and you do not get proper charging. It is likely that
your battery and/ or charger needs replacement. If under
warranty, take or send the battery and charger to an
Authorized Laguna dealer.
4. When the battery is charging the light on the plug will be
red. When the battery is fully charged, the light will turn
to green.
LEAVING THE BATTERY IN THE CHARGER
The charger and battery can be left connected indefinitely.
The charger will keep the battery fresh and fully charged.
NOTE: A battery will slowly lose its charge when kept out of
the charger. If the battery has not been kept on maintenance

may also slowly lose its charge if left in a charger that is not
plugged into an appropriate AC source.
