2.5.1 - Equipment slaved to an external reference connected to the
«GENLOCK» input
The reference signal should be a black video signal with or without burst delivred by
a Broadcast generator and terminated with 75 Ohms load.
0,3 V

Horizontal phase alignment of the digital output signal
The horizontal phase of the digital output signal with respect to the external reference
signal is adjusted using the «ΦH COARSE» and «ΦH FINE» thumbwheels. The range of
variation depends of the S170 switch position if Z160 soft version is ≥ 47017011/D (iden-
tified 011/D on the circuit):
S170 up position (FINE):
• «ΦH COARSE»: Adjustment in steps of 592 ns.
•
«ΦH FINE»: Adjustment in steps of 37 ns.
The range of variation of the digital output signal with respect to the reference signal is
around 9.5 µs (-8 µs + 1.5 µs).
S170 down position (WIDE):
• «ΦH COARSE»: Adjustment in steps of 1184 ns.
•
«ΦH FINE»: Adjustment in steps of 74 ns.
The range of variation of the digital output signal with respect to the reference signal is
around 19 µs (± 9,5 µs).

Signal numérique
With the Z160 soft version ≤ 47017011/C (identified 011/C on the Z160 circuit):
• S170 enable a bar pattern on all the Channel Control Unit outputs.
• «ΦH COARSE»: Digital signal phase adjustment in steps of 592 ns.
