2.4 - VIDEO

The various adjustments are made on the «GENLOCK/VIDEO» board.

2.4.1 - Selection of composite video output standard

This selection is made using J91. Connect the link to the position corresponding to the
«PAL BGH 625L» or «NTSC 525L» standard. The other standards are not available at
present.

2.4.2 - TEST selector switches

Selector switches S170 and S171 enable various tests to be performed on the equipment.
S170: Depends on the Z160 soft version:
• Soft ≤ 47017011/C (identified 011/C on the circuit). On the «TEST» position, a bar
pattern is generated by the «GENLOCK/VIDEO» board on all the Channel Control Unit
video outputs (digital and composite).
• Soft ≥ 47017011/D (identified 011/D on the circuit). The S170 switch change the range
variation of the thumbwheels «ΦH COARSE» and «FH FINE. Refer to the 2.5 -
Equipment phase alignment with a digital installation paragraph.
S171: On the «Y» position, only the Y luminance signal is present on all the video outputs
of the Channel Control Unit (digital and composite) of the equipment; the chrominance is
cut off.
In operation, selector switches S170 (Soft ≤ 47017011/C) and S171 shall be set to the
«NORMAL» position.
