If the connected surgical device has been replaced or there have been significant changes in the
configuration of the connected surgical device, the calibration process must be repeated to avoid
malfunction.
The calibration process is started by pressing and holding the Up and Down buttons simultaneously for at
least 1 second:
Initial state
Setup menu for line current detector
Submenu for line current measurement (here:
calibration required)
Different parameters are possible instead of the
display. See section 5.1, p. 42.
A counter appears in the lower display segment counting down the seconds. The counter may reset itself
up to 3 times due to power fluctuations in the connected surgical device. Ideally, the calibration process
takes 15 seconds, in the worst case 60 seconds.
If the counter has expired, either the measured power consumption or an error code is displayed. See
section 5.1, "Setup menu," page 42.
The connected electrosurgery or laser surgery device must not be activated or operated during the
calibration process!

Configuration of the switch-on delay time
Fluctuations in the power consumption during the calibration process of the connected electrosurgery or
laser surgery device may cause the fan of the smoke evacuator marVac
can be prevented by configuration of a switch-on delay time of the current detector.
