OPERATION
Appliance description
If the appliance is operated with preheated water and the inlet
temperature exceeds the chosen set temperature, a warning mes-
sage appears on the display. The water is not heated further.
You can save and quickly call up different temperatures. The ECO
function limits the flow rate. The appliance has childproofing
functions, a wellness shower program , automatic water volume
control, dynamic anti-scalding protection and permanent
temperature limiting. The backlight switches off automatically
with no intervention (user adjustable switch-off time). As soon as
water flows through the appliance, or you make a change on the
programming unit or mini wireless remote control, the backlight
switches on automatically.
Prerequisites for the use of extended functions (weather data, inter-
net radio, Bluetooth ® , app-based operation) with the DHE Connect:
WLAN 802.11, broadband internet connection, registration with
email address, terms of use and data protection consent agreement
(www.stiebel-eltron.com/terms-of-use/dhe).
The DHE Connect appliance has an integrated loudspeaker. Alter-
natively, an external Bluetooth® loudspeaker can also be used. In
addition, it is also possible to play music from a mobile terminal
device with the integrated loudspeaker in the DHE Connect.
Heating system
The bare wire heating system is enclosed within a pressure-tested
plastic jacket. The heating system with its stainless steel heater
spiral is suitable for hard and soft water areas and is largely in-

susceptible to scale build-up. The heating system ensures rapid
and efficient DHW provision.
Note
The appliance is equipped with an air detector that
largely prevents damage to the heating system. If, dur-
ing operation, air is drawn into the appliance, the ap-
pliance shuts down for one minute, thereby protecting
the heating system.
