4. Connection and commissioning
Warning
• Only operate the product from an approved
socket that is connected to the public power
supply. The socket must be installed close to
the product and must be easily accessible.
• Disconnect the product from the power
supply using the On/Off switch – if this is
not available, unplug the power cord from
the socket.
• If using a multi-socket power strip, make
sure that the total power consumption of all
connected devices does not exceed the power
strip's maximum throughput rating.
• If you will not be using the product for a
prolonged period, disconnect it from mains
power.
Please connect the radio-controlled socket to a
conventional earthed socket.
To test the function and for manual operation
without a remote control, press the "On/Off"
button. When the button is pressed, the LED on the
radio-controlled socket should light up and go out
again when the button is pressed again.
Note
Please note that the maximum transmission range
can only be achieved in optimised conditions.
The range may be reduced by walls or other radio
signals (mobile phone, WLAN, etc.), for example.
5. Learning function of the radio-controlled
socket
Press and hold the "LEARN" button for approx. 3
seconds until the LED flashes. Now, on the remote
control, select the required channel by pressing
the corresponding "ON" button. The LED on the
radio-controlled socket stops flashing as soon as the
teaching process is successfully completed.
If teaching fails, the radio-controlled socket will
exit learning mode after 15 seconds. In this case,
repeat the process. Multiple learning (where multiple
radio-controlled socket respond to the same channel
on the remote control) is possible.
If you would like to delete the programmed channel
again, first press the "LEARN" button until the LED
flashes. Pressing the corresponding "OFF" button on
the remote control deletes the programming.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Remote control does not work
Please check that the battery has been inserted with
the correct polarity. The lettering on the battery and
the polarity indicator in the battery compartment can
be used to check this.
If the pilot LED on the remote control does not light
up when a button is pressed despite the battery
being inserted correctly, this is most likely due to
a technical fault on the remote control. In this
case, please contact our technical customer service
team or the retailer from which you purchased
this product.
6.2 The radio-controlled socket cannot be
switched on or off despite the remote control
working correctly
Please repeat the steps under "Learning function of
the radio-controlled socket", and if necessary contact
the technical support team at Hama or the retailer
from which you purchased this product.
7. Care and maintenance
Note
Disconnect the device from the mains before
cleaning and during prolonged periods of
non-use.
