B efore using th e h eater, you sh ould note th e follow ing :

Do not place anything on the appliance.
•
N ever cover the appliance with a blanket, wet or dry fabrics or similar. The ap-
pliance may overheat and become damaged or cause electric shock, fire or per-
sonal injury.
•
N ever cover the air openings of the appliance or block the air circulation! K eep
the appliance a large enough distance away from curtains, furnitures or walls!
•
N ever turn the appliance off by unplugging it, always set the control switch to
, then pull out the plug.
•
N ever operate the appliance or unplug it, with wet hands.
•
During operation the heater will become hot, because of this, never touch the
air outlet - you could burn yourself!
•
L eave the appliance to completely cool down before moving it! The appliance
remains hot for some time after it is switched off!
•
Do not use a programming device, timer or similar to automatically switch on
the appliance as unattended use is not permitted. (Fire haz ard! )
•
During initial usage a slight odor might develop, which is normal and is caused
by the initial heating of the heating elements.
•
If abnormal noises occur during use, the cause could be a dirty air filter. In this
case, clean the filter as described in " Cleaning the filter" .
