INSTALLATION
Installing a Top Mounted Unit
(HCSBFR and HCSBFX Models)
NOTICE
Use caution and avoid hitting condensing unit hoses/lines
when installing unit. Damage caused during installation is
not covered under warranty.
1. Apply a bead of National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)-
approved silicone sealant on the top edge of the countertop
cutout and the underside of the trim mounting ring. The
sealant must be rated for use at temperatures between
-10°F (-23°C) and 250°F (121°C).
2. Lift the Remote Hot/Cold shelf out of the shipping frame
and carefully lower it into the countertop cutout. This step
requires two or more people.
NOTE: If excessive condensation appears underneath the
countertop during operation, apply polyurethane-based
foam sealant in the gap between the underside of the
countertop and the shelf.
3. Install the control panel in the desired location.
• The control enclosure can be installed remotely within
6' (1829 mm) of the shelf. Refer to the "Installing the
Control Enclosure Remotely" procedure in this section.
DO NOT tip unit/mounting surface after final installation.
Unit is free-floating and could fall out if tipped—for
permanent, horizontal installations only.
