Use a steel scraper to scrape the side walls of the stove
(Fig. 20)
and the inner walls of the cast iron heat exchanger
(Fig 21)
then vacuum the residues.

Reassemble all the previously removed components, making sure that the seals guarantee perfect tightness.
When tightening the nuts of the cast iron heat exchanger, it is advisable to observe the sequence shown in the picture (from 1 to 4) to ensure the
adequate tightness of the seal
(Fig.
22).
Cleaning the vermiculite
The vermiculite does not require special maintenance and if required should only be gently dusted with a brush. In order not to compromise its working
life, cleaning should not be carried out using abrasive sponges or using the vacuum cleaner pipe in direct contact.
