Safety when using the data transfer via Bluetooth
Communication between the diaphragm metering pump and 'EcoAPP' is established via
an active Bluetooth
equipped with a Bluetooth
fitted (accessories).
NOTICE!
The user of the 'EcoAPP' is responsible for the use of appropriate safety
mechanisms with the link and the data transfer between the 'EcoAPP' and
the 'EcoAdd' diaphragm metering pump via Bluetooth
The safety instructions given below must be observed. Ecolab accepts no
liability for damage arising from non-observance.
Instructions on data transfer and use of Bluetooth
n
Update the operating system on the smartphone or tablet being used:
Many attacks utilise weak points in the operating systems and outdated Bluetooth
protocols, and for this reason smartphones and tablets must always be kept up to
date. The installation of malware protection on the smartphone or tablet offers further
protection.

Lock the 'EcoAdd' diaphragm metering pump with an access code:
Due to the locking of the pump described in the pump operating manual via an access
code, the pump is set to "invisible" in the Bluetooth

access code within the 'EcoAPP' .
n
Check the active instruments in Bluetooth
Only connect known instruments to the smartphone or tablet. If you want to connect
unknown instruments, these should first be checked, or identified and rejected as
necessary
n
Note other instruments in the reception range!
Only perform pairing with other instruments when there are no other (unknown)
instruments in the reception range and check automatic pairings. Bluetooth
instruments generally establish connections automatically when this function is
switched on. For this reason, regular checks should be performed as to which
instruments are being used to connect automatically to the smartphone or tablet used.
This is displayed in the settings for the smartphone or tablet. If there are unknown
instruments there, the corresponding pairing should be disconnected.
