5. Batteries:

Lean the side supports of the battery housings on the rails.
Slide the housings forward on the rail until they are hooked at the anchoring points. Place at the outermost
position the battery housing that has access to the connector, and point it toward the side of the wheelchair on
which the control is situated, so that access is facilitated for connecting the battery to the control.
Interconnect the two batteries.
Once you have made sure that the connections are secure, connect the outermost battery to the control. To
remove the battery housings, disconnect the battery from the control, disconnect the batteries from each
other. To remove the battery housings, push them upward until they are free of the anchoring points. Slide
them outward on the rail.
6. Wheels: If it is necessary to remove one of the wheels (e.g. in order to repair them it in case of puncture),
proceed as follows:
Front wheel
1. Use a 7 mm. Allen wrench to remove the fork screw.
2. Remove the damaged wheel.
3. When the wheel has been repaired, follow the reverse procedure.
Back wheel:
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover of the hub.
2. Loosen this screw with a 19 mm. hexagonal socket wrench.
3. Remove the damaged wheel. When it has been repaired, follow the reverse procedure.
7. Seat belt: In case the user needs a seat belt, this can be fastened to the frame as shown in the picture 5
Note: This wheelchair is designed to be repaired and assembled by the dealer and not the end user. The end user
has to dissasemble and assemble the chair only for transportation (D. Use: folding for transportation).
D. USE
1. Handling the wheelchair
Folding for transportation: First remove the batteries as described in Chapter C. 5. and make sure that the footrest
platforms are in vertical position. Take hold of the seat upholstery by the middle and pull it upward until the unit is
fully folded. To lift the batteries please use the handles on the lid of the battery boxes. To lift the chair when folded
please use the upper tubes of the side frames and the push handles.
Opening: Pull downward on the upper tubes of the cross until the wheelchair is completely open. Put the batteries
in place.
Note: Never lift the wheelchair by the armrests, since they are detachable and harm could be done to the user or
to the wheelchair.
Reclining back (4° - 55°) (Fig. 6): By pulling the 2 levers at the same time the backrest is released and can be set to
the required position. Releasing the 2 levers will lock the backrest automatically in the new position. To bring the
backrest back to the upright position, just move it (no release necessary) to the required position.
Caution: The reclining back is only to be used in combination with the active anti-tips setting
Caution: The reclining back is only to be used in combination with a stabilizer bar. Please always make sure that
the stabilizer bar is locked in place on both sides.
Caution: Before folding the wheelchair, make sure that the stabilizer bar is removed
Caution: In order to avoid any reduction in the cable function, you must make sure that the cables are not completely
taut.
Caution: When adjusting the back angle, be careful not to get your fingers caught.
Caution: Before adjusting the back angle, put the anti tip tubes in to the active position
Elevating legrest: To elevate: Lift your lower leg and press the release button. Pull the legrest upwards and adjust
it to the desired height. As soon as you release the button, the legrest will click back into place.
To lower: Lift your lower leg and press the release button to unlock the legrest to lower it. As soon as you release
the button, the legrest will click back into place.
CAUTION: The elevating legrest is not allowed to be adjusted into the lowest position to avoid any interference
with the casters. CAUTION: Keep hands clear of the adjustment mechanism between the frame and the movable
