2.Air cleaner service
A dirty air cleaner will restrict air flow to the carburetor. To prevent
carburetor malfunction, service the air cleaner regularly. Service more
frequently when operating the pump in extremely dusty areas.
Never use gasoline or low flash point solvents for cleaning. They are
flammable and explosive under certain conditions.
CAUTION:
Never run the pump without the air cleaner. Rapid engine wear will
result from contaminants such as dust and dirt being drawn into the
engine.
1.Unhook the two latch tabs on the top of the air cleaner cover. Tilt
the top of the air cleaner cover back and unhook the two lower tabs,
and remove the cover.
2.Remove the air cleaner element.
