Installation instructions

The installation comes under the exclusive res-
ponsibility of specialists.
The installer is held to respect the local legisla-
tion and standards.
How to fix the gasket:
The gasket supplied with the hob avoids all infil-
tration of liquids in the cabinet.
This installation has to be done carefully, in
conformity of the following drawing.

• The distance between the hob and the wall
must be at least 50 mm.
• The hob is an appliance with the safety ra-
ting "Y". There may be a high cabinet side
or a wall on one side and at the rear. On the
other side no unit or appliance must stand
higher than the hob.
• The work surfaces must be made of heat-
resistant materials (100 °C).
• The strips along the walls must be heat resi-
stant.
• The work surface materials may swell due
to contact with moisture. Coat the edges of
the recess with varnish or a special sealant
to protect the recess.

Stick the gasket (2) two millimetres from the
external edge of the glass, after removing the
protection sheet (3).
• Do not install the hob above a non-ventilated
oven or dishwasher.
• Leave a space of 20 mm below the casing
of the appliance in order to ensure thorough
ventilation of the electronics.
• If there is a drawer below the hob, do not
keep flammable objects in it (e.g. spray
cans) and objects which are not heatproof.
• For the distance between the hob and the
cooker hood above it, follow the instructions
of the hood manufacturer. If no instructions
are given, leave a space of at least 760 mm.
• The lead should be free of all mechanical
stress, e.g. caused by a drawer, after instal-
lation.
