• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with impaired physical, sensorial
or mental abilities or without sufficient experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised and in-
structed on appliance use by a person in charge of their safety.
• The appliance is intended for indoor use only. The appliance must not be used in places where there
might be flammable vapours or explosive dust.
• Prolonged use of ultraviolet light may cause damage to items such as paintings and manuscripts.
Therefore it is recommended to cover with a cloth or remove paintings or other valuable items when
the lamp is in operation.
• The light emitted by the UVC lamp may cause ageing effects. After it is switched on, please keep away
from the lamp valuable items and dark objects. Prolonged exposure to the light emitted by the UVC
lamp of dark and valuable items might cause the colour to fade.
• Before switching on the lamp it is recommended to remove or cover with a cloth any plants on the
premises.
• Do not twist or pull the power cord forcefully, as it might be damaged or cause electrical shocks or
other incidents.
• Do not use alcohol, petrol or chemical products to clean the appliance.
• IT IS NOT WATERPROOF. Do NOT wash with water.
DURING OPERATION OF THE LAMP, THERE SHOULD BE NO PERSONS OR ANIMALS IN THE PLACE
OF USE. AVOID STARING DIRECTLY AT THE LIGHT EMITTED BY THE LAMP. AFTER STERILISATION IT
IS RECOMMENDED TO AERATE THE PREMISES FOR 20-30 MINUTES.
• Plug the power supply cord into the socket.
• Press the ON/OFF button ( ) to switch on the device. (Fig. 3)
• Press the timer button ( ) to select the desired operation time (15, 30 or 60 minutes).
• Leave the room.
• Before switching on the UV-C lamp will start emitting an intermittent beep that will end after approxi-
mately 10 seconds, to indicate that the lamp has started operating.
• Operation can be interrupted at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button.
• The lamp switches off automatically when the set time has elapsed.
• The device can also be used with the remote control.
NOTE: the lamp is fitted with a sensor that detects the presence of people or animals in the room.
Should a person enter the room while the lamp is in operation, it will immediately stop operating and
it will only resume operation when the sensor no longer detects the presence of people in the room.
After setting up the timer immediately leave the room.
Setting up the timer
• 10 m2 rooms: 15 minutes
• Kitchen, bathrooms and 20 m2 rooms: 30 minutes
• Sitting room, dining room and other 40 m2 rooms: 60 minutes
