The following example shows how a niche is inserted into a wall composed of mounting
plates. It is imperative that the niche be durable and that it is installed and sealed in accord-

In order to create an integrated shelf using a niche, the outer surface of the niche must be
flush with the wall in which it is to be installed. In this regard, the feed-through socket installed
in the niche must always face upwards in the installation position.
1. Place the niche on the mounting plate and mark the outer contour. The dimensions of the
cut-out (a x b) must correspond to the outer dimensions of the niche.
2. Make a cut-out in the mounting plate along the contour that you marked.
3. Guide the free plug connector of the extension cable to the intended position for the
cable bushing at the niche.
4. Connect the extension cable to the feed-through cable at the niche.
5. Insert the niche flush into the mounting plate and fix it in place at the cut-out you have
made.
> The feed-through cable is connected to the power supply via the connected exten-
sion cable. The niche is inserted and durably connected to the mounting plate.
6. For installation in wet areas: Glue the joints around the outer flange with the addition of
Schlüter KERDI-COLL-L. Use the KERDI sealing collar included in the delivery to this
