TROUBLESHOOTING
Description of fault
Stereo microscope illumination
cannot be switched ON.
Microsope illumination works, but
blue status LED of Stemi 305 cam
does not light up.
Blue status LED of Stemi 305 cam
shines permanently, but Wi-Fi
identifier (SSID) of Stemi 305 cam
is not visible in Wi-Fi settings of the
iPad.
iPad can be connected to the Wi-Fi
net of Stemi 305 cam, but the live
image does not appear in
Labscope/Matscope.
In mode "Connect to existing
WLAN", Stemi 305 cam cannot be
connected to an existing WLAN
network

Cause of error
No mains power.
Power supply interrupted or
defective.
Microscope not switched ON
Power supply unit defective.
RJ12 spiral cable between
microscope body and stand not
connected or defect.
Stemi 305 cam is set to mode
"Connect to existing WLAN" or it's
Wi-Fi SSID was renamed, possibly by
another user.
Labscope/Matscope not updated.
Existing WLAN SSID contains a dot,
e. g.: "TP-Link_02.4G"

Troubleshooting
Check and establish mains power.
Connect correctly - or change -
mains cable.
Turn power switch on back of stereo
microscope ON.
Check intactness of the power unit.
In doubt, replace it acc. to operating
manual "Stemi 305".
Correctly connect, or change RJ12
spiral cable between microscope
body and stand.
If external Wi-Fi net is available:
Connect iPad to external Wi-Fi, start
Labscope app and check if Stemi
305 cam live image is shown.
Alternative: Reset the Wi-Fi camera
acc to chapter 4.3 and connect iPad
to the WLAN SSID of Stemi 305
cam.
Download and install actual version
of Labscope/Matscope app.
Please rename the WLAN so that the
WLAN SSID only consists of letters,
digits, hyphens and underscores,
e. g.: "TP-Link_02_4G"
