10. CHARGE/DISCHARGE PROCESSES WITH A BID-CHIP/KEY

The programming of the highlighted values is initiated by
pressing ENTER. The adjustable parameters are marked
with the cursor and can be adjusted with the "DEC" or
"INC" buttons.
The programming procedure of a BID-Chip Key is the
same as for a battery memory position (see chapter 5.5).
The procedure is simply to enter a date. Therefore, it is
recommended that you select a date when the battery is
first put into operation.
Each programming change must be stored by highligh-
ting the "STORE" line. If a new or change to an existing
program is being made, then a safety question is made
according to the example shown here. The selection and
confirmation are made using the "DEC" or "INC" buttons
and the "ENTER"
button.

Following the memory store, the Display will show the
screen illustrated alongside. The successful completion of

a memory store will be signalled by a short acoustic beep
sound.

If the BID data has been edited and stored, then "BID-
SYSTEM" will appear in the display. From this screen, that
appears as soon as a BID-chip/key has been connected
(see chapter 9), a new procedure commences.
The desired mode (CHARGE, DISCHARGE, CYCLE or
STORAGE PROGRAM) is selected and the "ENTER"
button presses for at least 2 seconds. Thereafter the menu
to start the charge/discharge process as well as cycling
will appear. The procedure is totally identical to starting a
process for any one of the 20 memory positions. The same
