7. Adjust:
• Throttle cable joint position
Adjustment steps:
• Turn the throttle grip to the fully closed
position.
• Turn the magneto control lever 1 so that
its full-retard adjusting screw contacts the
full-retard stopper a.
• Adjust the position of the cable joint until
its hole aligns with the set pin.
• Install the clip 2, and then tighten the
locknut 3.
WARNING
The cable joint must be screwed in a
minimum of 8.0 mm (0.31 in).
8. Check:
• Fully open position
Incorrect → Adjust.
Checking steps:
• Turn the shift lever to the forward position.
• Turn the throttle grip fully open.
• Check that the full-advance adjusting
screw contacts the full-advance stopper

9. Check:
• Throttle operation
Unsmooth operation → Adjust.
Checking steps:
• Turn the shift lever to the neutral position.
• Fully open and close the throttle several
times.
• Check that the throttle valve fully opens
and closes.
