Setting of the cutting clearance
CAUTION:
This setting should only be performed by experienced operators.
Please contact the manufacturer for service.
Mount the punching tool without wiper, as described in item 7.2.
Extend the punch until it is completely immersed into the die. Ensure a continuous cutting clearance from 0.3 to 0.5 mm (see fig. 5).
Re-adjust the cutting clearance by releasing the four attachment screws (item 4 in fig. 6) of the tool holder and make sure that the
angularity to the depth stop is remained.
Retighten the screws after setting.
7.4 Operating Instructions for Bending
Bending tool: 2605-0601-01-20 (accessories)
Installation of the bending tool (fig. 10):
Position the bending die (1) onto the piston shaft of the hydraulic cylinder. Ensure that the two brass supports on the lower side of the bending die are facing
the base plate. Secure the die with the threaded pin on top of the bending die. Insert the bending punch (2) and fix it with the clamping lever (3) to the Alcu-
Press.
Setting and bending:
Mark the bending line on the busbar or use the length stop 2605-0700-02-00 (accessories).
Insert the busbar in an upright position between the bending punch (2) and the bending die (1) (see fig. 10).
Positioned the pusbar that the marking is in the center of the bending radius of the punch (2) (see fig. 11) or alternatively use the length stop.
Operate the foot switch of the electro hydraulic pump until the required bending angle is achieved.
The bending angle is shown at the measuring scale at the top of the bow punch (fig. 11).
We recommend to choose the bending angle slighly larger to compensate the spring-back of the busbar which is dependent on the material thickness (see
fig. 12).
For series bendings with same bending angle, see item 7.7.

CAUTION:
Busbar must lie flat on the table top for the bending operation.
7.5 Operating Instructions for Trimming

Installation and operation similar to bending instructions (fig. 13-15):
See item 7.4
