Installation & use
Insert the base of the syringe pump holder into either of the sockets (1) at the head end
of the bed. Twist the pole so that the notch (2) locates over the pin at the bottom of the
socket.
A syringe pump or other equipment (maximum weight 10kg) can be clamped onto the
pole. The hooks can be used to support fluid bags and other IV equipment, up to a
maximum weight of 2kg on each hook.

After use: remove all equipment from the pole and hooks, and pull the pole vertically
out of the socket.
WARNING
A clinically qualified person should assess the risks involved before
transporting a patient while IV equipment is in use
When moving the bed, do not allow the syringe pump holder or
associated equipment to come into contact with surrounding objects or
people as this may cause injury and/or equipment damage
Do not use the installed syringe pump holder to move or manoeuvre the
bed
When the syringe pump holder is installed, the head end panel should
only be removed after assessment by a clinically qualified person, as the
gap between the pump holder and safety side constitutes a
potential entrapment hazard
