2. Commissioning/Operation
Water can be supplied through the diamond core drilling crown with the pres-
surised water canister as an alternative to the water mains. To prepare the
pressurised water canister (8), screw the enclosed hose pipe with fi lter (2) to
the connection on the bottom of the pressurised water canister (8) and tighten
by hand. Now turn the pump handle (6) to the left and unscrew the pump. Fill
the canister with a maximum 10 l of water and screw the pump back in. Remove
the coupling socket (4) of the water supply device (3) (accessory) and connect
the water supply device (3) to the hose pipe coupling (7). Close the shut-off
valve (5). Press down the pump handle (6) and set in the middle position by
turning to the left or right. Pump up the pressurised water canister (8) by repeat-
edly pumping the pump handle (6) up and down. The pressure built up in the
canister can be read on the piston pressure gauge with safety valve (1). The
piston pressure gauge with safety valve (1) limits the working pressure to max.
3 bar. If the pressure in the canister continues to rise, the piston pressure gauge
with safety valve (1) blows off pressure. Withdrawal of water is regulated by
slowly opening the shut-off valve (5). Withdrawal of water lowers the pressure
in the pressurised water canister. It has to be pumped back up to increase the
pressure. Before refi lling the pressurised water canister (8) with water, the
remaining pressure in the pressurised water canister must be blown off by
pulling on the piston pressure gauge with safety valve (1).
CAUTION
CAUTION
A malfunctioning or defective piston pressure gauge with safety valve (1) must
be replaced immediately!
2.1. Storage and Transport
Empty the pressurised water canister and the hose pipes completely to avoid
damage. Store the pressurised water canister at ≥ 5°C and dry. To carry the
pressurised water canister by the pump handle (6), press this down and lock
it by turning to the left or right.
3. Maintenance
CAUTION
CAUTION
Blow off the pressure in the pressurised water canister (8) by pulling on the
piston pressure gauge with safety valve (1) before performing maintenance
work.
Keep the pressurised water canister (8), piston pressure gauge with safety
valve (1) and pump clean. Clean plastic parts only with the REMS CleanM (Art.
No. 140119) machine cleaner or mild soap and a damp cloth. Do not use
household cleaners. These often contain chemicals which can damage the
plastic parts. Never use petrol, turpentine, thinner or similar products to clean
plastic parts. Keep the fi lter clean. Replace damaged hose pipe with fi lter.
4. Faults
4.1. Fault: No/too little pressure builds up in the device.
Cause:
● Pump (9), hose pipe with fi lter (2),
piston pressure gauge with safety
valve (1) not screwed tight.
● Pump (9), hose pipe with fi lter
(2), piston pressure gauge with
safety valve (1), hose pipe
coupling (7) defective.
● Water supply device is fi tted and
shut-off valve (5) is open.
4.2. Fault: No or little water emerges from the hose pipe with fi lter.
Cause:
● No/only very little pressure in the
pressurised water canister (8).
● Filter soiled.
● Shut-off valve (5) is closed.
Remedy:
● Tighten pump (9), hose pipe with
fi lter (2), piston pressure gauge
with safety valve (1).
● Have the pump (9), hose pipe
with fi lter (2), piston pressure
gauge with safety valve (1), hose
pipe coupling (7) replaced or the
pressurised water canister (8)
inspected by an authorised REMS
Customer Service Workshop.
● Close shut-off valve (5).
Remedy:
● Pump up the pressurised water
canister (8) by repeatedly
pumping the pump handle (6) up
and down.
● Unscrew hose pipe with fi lter (2),
clean fi lter.
● Open shut-off valve as required.
5. Disposal
The REMS pressurised water canister may not be thrown into the domestic
waste at the end of use but must be disposed of properly by law.
6. Manufacturer's Warranty
The warranty period shall be 12 months from delivery of the new product to the
fi rst user. The date of delivery shall be documented by the submission of the
original purchase documents, which must include the date of purchase and the
designation of the product. All functional defects occurring within the warranty
period, which are clearly the consequence of defects in production or materials,
will be remedied free of charge. The remedy of defects shall not extend or
renew the warranty period for the product. Damage attributable to natural wear
and tear, incorrect treatment or misuse, failure to observe the operational
instructions, unsuitable operating materials, excessive demand, use for unau-
thorized purposes, interventions by the customer or a third party or other
reasons, for which REMS is not responsible, shall be excluded from the warranty
Services under the warranty may only be provided by customer service stations
authorized for this purpose by REMS. Complaints will only be accepted if the
product is returned to a customer service station authorized by REMS without
prior interference and in a fully assembled condition. Replaced products and
parts shall become the property of REMS.
The user shall be responsible for the cost of shipping and returning the product.
A list of the REMS-authorized customer service stations is available on the
Internet under www.rems.de. For countries which are not listed, the product
must be sent to the SERVICE-CENTER, Neue Rommelshauser Strasse 4,
