Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the LINDY HDMI to CVBS/S-Video Converter. This product has been designed
to provide trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2 year warranty and free lifetime
technical support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future
reference.
The HDMI to Composite Video / S-Video Converter is a compact device which allows you to use modern
digital AV equipment with legacy analogue displays.
This easy to use plug and play device supports standard HD resolutions and audio and converts the signal
to either Composite Video or S-Video with stereo audio. Two simple slide switches enable the user to
quickly choose between PAL & NTSC inputs and Composite Video or S-Video outputs.
Note regarding HDCP protection
HDMI HDTV signals from Blu-ray and DVD movies are HDCP copy protected. The HDMI standard does
not allow analogue conversion of HDCP protected HDTV video content in high resolution but in low SD
resolution only. For HDCP protected HDMI signals the output signal will be scaled down to SD 480i.
