Calibration for Horizontal Surfaces (see figure I)
The surface onto which you place the measuring tool must not deviate from
the horizontal line by more than 5°. If the deviation is greater, the calibration
process is discontinued with the indication "---" .
 Switch the measuring tool on and position it on the horizontal surface in
such a manner that the spirit level 9 faces upward and the display 7
faces you. Wait for 10 s.
 Then press the "Cal" calibration button 20 for approx. 2 seconds until
"CAL1" appears briefly on the display. Then the measuring value will
flash on the display.
 Rotate the measuring tool by 180° around the vertical axis, so that the
bubble vial 9 continues to point upwards, but the display 7 is positioned
on the side facing away from you. Wait 10 s.
 Then press and hold the calibration button "Cal" 20 again for approx.
2 s. "CAL2" will be shown briefly on the display. Then the measured
value (no longer flashing) will appear on the display. The measuring tool
has now been recalibrated for this supporting surface.
Note: If the measuring tool is not rotated around the axis described in
step , calibration may not be completed correctly.
Calibration for Vertical Surfaces (see figure J)
The surface onto which you place the measuring tool must not deviate from
the vertical line by more than 5°. If the deviation is greater, the calibration
process is discontinued with the indication "---".
 Switch the measuring tool on and position it on the vertical surface in
such a manner that the spirit level 10 faces upward and the display 7
faces you. Wait for 10 s.
 Then press the "Cal" calibration button 20 for approx. 2 seconds until
"CAL1" appears briefly on the display. Then the measuring value will
flash on the display.
 Rotate the measuring tool by 180° around the horizontal axis, so that
the bubble vial 10 points downwards, but the display 7 is positioned on
the side facing away from you. Wait 10 s.
 Then press and hold the calibration button "Cal" 20 again for approx.
2 s. "CAL2" will be shown briefly on the display. Then the measured
value (no longer flashing) will appear on the display. The measuring tool
has now been recalibrated for this supporting surface.
Note: If the measuring tool is not rotated around the axis described in
step , calibration may not be completed correctly.

Maintenance and Cleaning

For safe and proper working, always keep the measuring tool clean.
Store and transport the measuring tool only in the supplied protective pouch.
Do not immerse the measuring tool in water or other fluids.
Wipe off debris using a moist and soft cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents
or solvents.
When the measuring tool is exposed to rain for an extended period, its func-
tion may be impaired. However, after completely drying off, the measuring
tool is ready for operation. No calibration is required.
In case of repairs, send in the measuring tool packed in its protective
pouch 22.
