6. Before initial use

 Remove all the packing material from the fondue set.
 Remove the appliance lid.
 Clean all the parts as instructed in section "10. Cleaning and care" on page 80.
 Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, dry and level surface.
 Connect the fondue to a properly installed and earthed safety socket.
The fondue set is now ready for use.
