• Do not place the appliance on surfaces that can become hot
(e.g. on hotplates, naked flames).
• Cooking appliances should be lifted by the handles (where
applicable) and placed in a secure position to avoid spillage
of hot liquids.
WARNING!
Ensure that the appliance does not come into con-
tact with any other objects when in use. Maintain a
distance of at least 10 cm from other objects. Do not
place the appliance near easily flammable materials
(curtains, drapes, paper, etc.). There is a risk of fire.
• During operation, do not place the appliance under wall cup-
boards or other objects that could hinder the free upwards
flow of steam.
• Do not cover the appliance.
• Do not place any objects on the appliance.
• Do not use this appliance near water contained in baths, sinks
or other containers and do not expose it to rain or other mois-
ture.
• Do not place the appliance near gas or electric heaters or in a
hot oven.

3.4. Mains connection

• Connect the fondue set to a properly installed AC 220-240 V
~ 50/60 Hz safety plug socket that has at least a 16 A fuse.
Do not use extension cables and check before using the ap-
pliance that the voltage given on the appliance corresponds
with the local mains voltage.
• Always remove the plug from the safety socket after use, be-
fore cleaning and at times when the appliance is unattended.
• When disconnecting the appliance from the mains supply, al-
ways pull on the plug rather than on the cable.
