Getting ready for use

D Do not empty any water into the collecting tray over the cooking grate!
. Remove collecting tray and fill with water until the water is approx. 1 cm high in the tray.
D The water lessens
− the development of smoke,
− the drying out of the food
− and stops the meat juices from burning when used for a longer period of time.
Risk of burns! Caution, the collecting tray is hot during operation! Wear waterproof
gloves to protect against burns when removing the collecting tray!
. Always check whether there is sufficient water in the collecting tray during operation and re­
fill if necessary.
