Operating Instructions
The.S80.door.control.with.ELS.Professional.Card.3.1.will.only.operate.in.conjunction.with.BECKER.BES.drives..BES.drives.are.
equipped.with.an.incremental.and.reference.encoder,.which.enables.the.control.to.detect.the.door.end.positions..It is not
possible to set these transmitters in the drive..The.door.end.positions.are.set.on.the.S80.control.with.ELS.Professional.

Attention
Before programming the door end positions, the sensitive edge of the door must be connected to the S80
door control. See chapter "Connection and Function of External Control and Safety Devices". If the bot-
tom end position is to be corrected when the door reaches floor level using the sensitive edge signal, the
DIP1.1 switch must already be in the ON position before the door end positions are set.
To.set.the.door.end.positions,.the.Semi-opening (1/2 Torhöhe/STOP X) function.must.be.deactivated.(terminals.A11/B11.
open).
In.order.to.enter.the.setting.mode.for.setting.the.door.end.positions,.press.the.Prog.programming.button.on.the.ELS.Profes-
sional.Card.III.(approx..3.s).until.the.Betr.LED.starts.to.flash.on.the.ELS.Professional.Card.3.1.(flashing.code:."flashes.1x").
The door end positions are set in 6 programming steps. Pressing the Prog programming button takes you to the
next setting step.
If. an. error. occurs. in. one. of. the. steps. (e.g.. storing. an. undesired. end. position),. you. can. exit. the. setting. mode. at. any. time.
by.switching.off.the.voltage..The.control.will.delete.all.end.positions.programmed.up.to.that.point.and,.when.the.voltage.is.
switched.on.again,.it.will.indicate.-.by.means.of.illumination.of.the.Stoer2.LED.-.that.no.end.positions.have.yet.been.pro-
grammed.
By.pressing.the.Prog.programming.button.(approx..3.s),.you.can.now.start.with.Step.1.again.
Setting of the door end positions with VES Measuring tool (recommended procedure)
Step 1 (LED flashes 1x):
First.move.the.bottom.door.panel.to."hand.level".
Now.check.that.the.SKS/USA.LED.is.off..Activate.the.sensitive.edge.of.the.door.and.check.whether.the.SKS/USA.LED.il-
luminates.
Should.this.not.be.the.case,.the.safety.edge.is.not.functioning.properly.
Please.check.the.connection.and.then.the.setting.of.the.safety.edge.as.described.in.chapter."Connection.and.Function.of.
External.Control.and.Safety.Devices".
Attention
If the safety edge is not functioning properly or you are not in the possession of a Becker VES (pre-limit-
switch) measuring tool or something similar (height: 30-40 mm), you will have to set the internal pre-limit
switch manually (refer to chapter: Setting of the final door positions with manual pre-limit-switch setting
VES).
Now.move.the.door.to.just.before.the.bottom.end.position..Go.to.Step.2.by.pressing.the.Prog.button.
Step 2 (LED flashes 2x):
To.enable.fine.adjustment.of.the.end.position,.the.control.now.moves.the.door.in.jogging.mode,.i.e..the.control.only.operates.
the.door.for.approx..50.ms.each.time.the.UP/DOWN.buttons.are.pressed..This.enables.the.desired.end.position.to.be.accu-
rately.reached.
If.you.have.already.reached.the.desired.bottom.end.position.in.Step.1,.you.can.change.directly.to.Step.3.by.pressing.the.Prog.
button..The.bottom.end.position.is.indicated.by.illumination.of.the.Stoer2.LED.
Step 3 (LED flashes 3x):
Move.the.door.to.just.before.the.desired.top.end.position.and.go.to.Step.4.by.pressing.the.Prog button.
Step 4 (LED flashes 4x):
To.enable.fine.adjustment,.the.control.moves.the.door.in.jogging.mode.again..Move.to.the.desired.top.end.position,.or.if.the.
end.position.has.already.been.reached,.go.to.the.next.step.by.pressing.the.Prog.button..The.top.end.position.is.indicated.by.
illumination.of.the.Stoer1 LED.
