D. TURNING CORNERS
1. Stop the machine when you reach a corner. The
machine will stop the needle into the fabric.
2. Raise the presser foot.
3. Use the needle as a pivot and turn fabric.
4. Lower the presser foot and resume sewing.
E. SEWING HEAVY FABRIC
When sewing heavy or thick fabrics, the toe end of
the presser foot tends to lift up, especially when it
comes to seam or other bulky areas. To sew these
heavy or thick fabrics:
1. When the toe of the presser foot begins to lift
up, raise the presser foot lifter and lower the
needle into to fabric.
2. Push the Stabilizer Pin (located on the right
side of the All-Purpose Foot) and at the same
time lower the presser foot lifter. The presser
foot should now be level on the thick fabric.
3. Start sewing. After a few stitches, the Stabilizer
Pin will release.
a. The presser bar lifter can be raised 1step higher
for placing heavy materials under the presser
foot easily.
F. SEWING OVER OVERLAPPED AREAS
Guide the fabric with your hand when sewing over
overlapped areas.
G. WIDTH OF SEAM ALLOWANCE
Guide lines on the needle plate indicate the
distance from the center needle positon.
To keep the width of seam allowance, guide fabric
edge aligning this guide line.
Seam Guide
Use the seam guide to guide the fabric.
Attach the seam guide and screw to the needle
