dlebars must be horizontal, with the ends pointing back and slightly upwards. On BMX
bikes, the handlebars must remain in a more vertical position, but can be angled back
or forward if more comfortable. On racing bikes, the handlebar is usually screwed to the
stem by a single hexagonal bolt. On BMX and MTB there may be 4 bolts.
WARNING - If you want to replace the bicycle fork it is good to rely on a qualified techni-
cian.
WARNING - Never drive if the handlebar has not been correctly fixed. Risk of falling
and serious injury!
SADDLE AND SEAT POST
Inspection
The screws holding the saddle and the saddle lock should be checked and tightened well
monthly. When removing the seat post from the frame, 65mm away from the bottom, you
will notice a sign with the word "max height" or "minimum insertion".
WARNING - To avoid damage to the seat post, the frame or accidents to the driver, the limit
sign of the seat post must be inside the frame.
Lubricate
Remove the seat from the frame and clean off any grease, rust or dirt. Then apply a light
coat of grease to the part that will be inserted into the frame. Fix the sleeve well in the
frame.
