Adjust the machine to the out-
side temperature before you
start removing the snow.
Do not make any settings to the
machine while it is in operation
(except those recommended by
the manufacturer).
Only operate the machine, if it
is in a perfect and safe condi-
tion. Never disable any safety
guard, e.g. do not tie the start
handle. Many accidents are the
result of poorly maintained ma-
chinery.
Use only spare parts and ac-
cessories supplied and recom-
mended by the manufacturer.
The use of non-original parts
will immediately invalidate the
guarantee.
Prior to use, always check the
cord and extension cord for
signs of damage or wear. Im-
mediately disconnect the cord
from the mains in case it is
damaged in use. Do not touch
the cord until it is unplugged.
Do not operate the appliance if
the cord is worn or damaged.
Working with the Equipment:
Do not place feet or hands
near or under rotating parts
when working. Keep away
from the ejector chute. Risk
of injury!
Switch the motor on as directed
and only if your feet are a safe
distance away from the ma-
chine's moving parts.
Do not place the flap of the
ejector chute in the direction of
48
people, animals, windows or
cars. Do not start the motor, if
the flap of the ejector chute is
pointing towards the operator.
There is a risk of personal in-
jury and damage to property.
Only work in good light. Work-
ing in areas without lighting can
result in accidents.
Do not use the machine in
damp or wet conditions.
Do not work with the equipment
when tired, lacking concentra-
tion or under the influence of
alcohol or drugs. Always take
breaks in good time. Take a
sensible approach to the work.
This enables you to control the
equipment better in unexpected
situations.
When working, ensure a firm
stance, particularly on slopes.
Do not work across slopes.
Take particular care when
changing the direction of travel
on the slope. Do not work on
excessively steep slopes (max.
10°). There is the risk that the
machine will topple over.
Run the equipment only at a
walking pace. Take particular
care when turning the equip-
ment around, pulling it towards
you or going backwards.
Take care on icy surfaces to
avoid slipping or falling.
Be careful when crossing
paths, roads or driveways and
be aware of any hidden dan-
gers and the traffic.
The equipment is not to be lift-
ed or transported while the mo-
tor is running. There is a risk of
injury.
