Cleaning

Risk of cuts due to sharp edges!
The tooth rows on the spring steel plates are sharp edged and
pointed, causing cuts to fingers and hands.

When cleaning the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge,
wear cut-resistant work gloves.
›
Clean the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge with a dry
cloth.
›
Do not use grease stripping, corrosive and aggressive cleaning
agents.
›
Clean wood residues, wood chips and other soiling from the
Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge.
›
Grease all moving parts (see "Greasing the Nordforest Titan 80
Mechanical Felling Wedge" on page 54).

Maintenance

Repairs may only be performed by authorised personnel or by the
manufacturer.

Inspection

Before every use, the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge
and its parts must be inspected for proper functioning and damage.

Inspect the shaft and play of the drive nut

The tapered roller bearing is encapsulated and can only be

replaced by an original part at the factory.
