3.1.6 Partition in zones
The partition of the alarm system into different zones allows greater flexibility in its
management and responds better to the needs of the user.
For example, you can associate perimeter magnetic reed contacts (such as opening
doors and windows) to one zone and passive infrared ones to another. In this way
the user will be able to activate only the first area at night, when he sleeps, and both
when he leaves the house unattended. With this setting, attempts to intrude the
perimeter will be monitored while you are sleeping, allowing at the same time free
movement of people inside the home if necessary.
The ability to activate and deactivate different zones is very useful even when you
have a garage, a shop, an office or a laboratory next to the house. In this case
the possibility of associating the different spaces with different zones allows to
selectively protect them, with a single system, by arming the alarm system when
no one is present in a specific zone.
