Under no circumstances should you
install your filter system in a hollow or
directly on grass (danger of flooding or
overheating the filtration pump).
If your filtration pump is placed in a
filter housing, make sure that it cannot
be flooded. To do so, we advise you to
provide a gravel base in the housing
area to enable any water or rainwater
to drain away.
5. INSTALLATION
(Figure 2)
IMPORTANT: this filtration pump is
shipped with the air discharge valve
(1) open (open the discharge valve
if necessary). DO NOT tighten the
air discharge valve until you have
reached step 8
If these instructions are not respected,
air will be trapped inside the filter
housing. This will cause the motor to
operate dry, and it will be noisy and
operate poorly.
1. First assemble the above-ground
pool WITHOUT FILLING IT.
Carefully follow the swimming pool
installation instructions.
2. Place the filtration pump as far from
the swimming pool as possible. Make
sure that the pump is accessible at all
times for maintenance.
3. Screw the strainer grids (2) onto their
bases and place them on the upper
and lower nozzles of the swimming
pool. Use the temporary plugs (9) if
necessary.
NOTE: The temporary plugs (to be
placed inside the strainers) enable the
pipes to be disconnected for pump
maintenance (e.g., filter cleaning)
when the pool is full.
4. Position a clamp (4) on one of the
ends of the pipe (5) and connect this
pipe to the upper intake (6) of the
pump. Tighten the clamp. Position a
shim (7) and a clamp on the other end
of the pipe and connect this pipe to the
lower strainer of the pool. Tighten the
clamp.
5. Position a clamp (4) on one of the
ends of the 2
pipe (5) and connect
nd
this pipe to the lower outlet (8) of the
pump (blue outlet). Tighten the clamp.
Position a shim (7) and a clamp on the
other end of the pipe and connect this
pipe to the upper strainer of the pool.
Tighten the clamp.
6 Make sure that all the clamps (4) are
tight.
7 Make sure that the Aqualoon filter
media cartridge is properly in place
(10), with the black foam at the bottom.
8 Make sure that the air valve (1) is
unscrewed (open).
9. Remove the temporary plugs
from the strainers if they have been
inserted.
10. Start to fill the pool. The water will
automatically flow out of the pump.
When the water starts to seep out of
the hole of the air valve, screw it back
without forcing. Use a cloth to dry any
water that has run over the pump.
NOTE: It is necessary to purge the
air from the system to enable the
pump to operate normally
