The 959 microwave sensor is a piece of device that transmits and receives high radio-
frequency (RF) signal. This sensor detects mass movement within the RF-protection area
and responses to large objects such as human arm or leg. This sensor is not disturbed by
heat expansion, wind or falling leaves. The sensor's RF signal can look through almost
everything (non-metallic objects) such as glass, carpet, leather, cloth, fiberglass or
plastics, but it will be stopped by any metal. So the microwave sensor is the best
protection device for the open vehicles such as convertibles, roadsters, jeep or any
vehicles that require interior space protection.
The best mounting position for 959 is between the driver and the passenger seat (the
distance from the sensor position to vehicle's left side and right side must be equal). We
also recommend mounting the sensor in the centre of rear seat area. The sensor must be
mounted in a position facing forward and should be as low as possible. Do not mount the
sensor in front of any metal objects, as the sensor's RF signal will be stopped by metal.
Due to reduce the sensor's RF signal, please also don't mount it under any cover such as
carpet. Large vehicles may require more than one 959 sensor for the protection as you
desire.
A. RED WIRE
Connect the red wire to a constant +12VDC power source.
B. BLACK WIRE
Connect the black wire to the good chassis ground.
C. BLUE WIRE
The blue wire will provide a negative output when the sensor has been triggered. Connect
the blue wire to the alarm's negative input. If more than one sensor is installed, each
sensor's negative output (Blue Wire) must be isolated with a 1N4001 diode as follows :
