2 Applications

This moving head is used for professional light-
ing, e . g . on stage, in clubs and function rooms .
As a light source, it uses nine 15 W LEDs . Each
LED consists of four individual LEDs lighting in
the colours red, green, blue and white . The col-
our and the brightness of the nine LEDs can be
separately adjusted .
The unit is designed for operation via a DMX
light controller (optionally 1, 11, 18, 21 or 50
DMX control channels); however, it can also be
operated independently without a controller,
e . g . running four different show programs by
music control via the internal microphone .

3 Setting into Operation

3.1 Installation

Always position the unit in such a way to en-
sure sufficient air circulation during operation .
Never cover the air vents of the housing .
Always keep a minimum distance of 50 cm to
the illuminated object .
Set up the unit on a solid and flat surface . Al-
ternatively, install it upside down on a crossbar
using a stable mounting clamp . Screw the clamp
to the mounting bracket provided . Insert the
two bolts of the bracket into the corresponding
holes on the lower side of the unit and turn
them clockwise to the stop . Screw the clamp,
together with the unit, to the crossbar .
WARNING When the unit is installed at a
place where people may walk or
sit under it, additionally secure
it, e . g . via a safety rope . Guide
the safety rope through the lug on the lower
side of the unit and fasten it in such a way that
the maximum falling distance of the unit will
not exceed 20 cm .

3.2 Power supply

Important! For power supply, the unit is
equipped with PowerCon
connect or disconnect a PowerCon plug while
voltage is applied . Always make the PowerCon
connection first and then connect the unit to
the mains socket . After operation, disconnect
the unit from the mains socket prior to discon-
necting the PowerCon connection .
1) Via the mains jack "230 V~ / 50 Hz", connect
the moving head to a mains socket (230 V~ /
50 Hz) using the mains cable provided . Insert
the blue PowerCon plug of the mains cable
into the mains jack, and turn the plug clock-
wise until it engages . To remove the plug, pull
back the safety latch of the plug and turn the
plug counter-clockwise .
2) If multiple MATRIX-915LED are used, the jack
POWER OUT of the first unit can be con-
nected to the mains jack "230 V~ / 50 Hz" of
the second unit . For this, a mains cable with
PowerCon plugs (NAC-3FCB and NAC-3FCA)
is required . The second unit can then be con-
nected to the third unit etc . until all units are
connected in a chain . Thus, up to 18 units
can be interconnected .
3) The jack POWER OUT can also be used to
provide power to other (light effect) units .
However, the current load of the jacks
"230 V~ / 50 Hz" and POWER OUT must not
exceed 16 A . Otherwise, a short circuit and
fire may occur due to overload .
As soon as the moving head is supplied with
power, it will start and go to the operating mode
most recently selected and indicated on the dis-
play (fig . 3) .
WARNING
To prevent damage to your eyes,
never look directly into the light
source for any length of time .
Please note that fast changes in lighting may
trigger epileptic seizures with photosensitive
persons or persons with epilepsy!
